The world is full of great ideas and people that haven’t taken action on them. If this is you, then you can rest assured that you’re not alone.
Of course, this also the same as saying you’re average.
Sorry, but when you’re in the majority, you’re in the average.
This isn’t always a bad thing, but when it comes to living your life or driving your business, do you really want average?
I didn’t think so.
If you’re a business owner, or a CEO, and you feel like you’re sitting on a bank of great ideas, my first question to you is – is the business you’re currently operating in working?
If not, then why not start there before moving on. If you don’t like the business, then exit and move on. Life’s short.
If your business is working well, then can you put in place a succession plan or sell it?
If yes, then do that before moving on.
If no, then perhaps the next thing to do is look for a strategic partner. You can be the one to supply the capital, the expertise, or the labor… or perhaps a combo of those.
If you’re not a business owner, or in a C-suite position, but still believe you have a lot of great ideas… then it’s time to become one of them or sell your idea. Just know that most investors don’t invest in ideas, but instead, they invest in companies where the idea has already been flushed out and proven.
Whatever you do… don’t be the person complaining to your friends and family about all the great ideas you have, but haven’t taken action on. That’s really just a way of saying, I’m too scared to do the things I really want to do and I’ll live out my dreams through talking about what I’m going to do the rest of my life instead of actually doing it. Sorry for the rant, but I’m tired of hearing it and my guess is your friends and family are too.
Instead, take action and get support from someone that can help you.
Need help? Just ask. Most people, the average, never ask because they’re too scared or it’s not the right time. That’s ok… because they have a bunch of great ideas. ????
